As a family owned and operated company, we know how important our guides are to the quality of our safaris.
We take great pride in hiring the most talented and experienced local guides to offer the best wildlife safaris and photo tours. Our first priority in selecting a guide is a deep passion for Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park, paired with a strong desire to share that passion with you. While passion is a key ingredient in making a guide exceptional, we also require a profound knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone Area to ensure expert interpretation during your safari. This means our guides must have a thorough understanding of the history, ecology, geology, geography, and wildlife of both national parks and the approximately 22 million acres that comprise the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Many of our guides hold college degrees, but no academic credential alone can fully prepare someone to be a Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari guide. Gaining a deep appreciation and love for this area demands years of exploring remote trails, climbing peaks, floating rivers, discovering hidden trout pools, skiing in the backcountry, and tracking wildlife through the Parks. We believe that firsthand experience and observation are invaluable for learning and teaching. +
Great guides are energetic, curious, highly intelligent, and perpetually eager to learn. It’s remarkable that even guides with decades of experience continue to buy more books than our guests! An excellent guide will intuitively adjust their guiding style to focus on your interests during the safari. Unlike a scripted tour where the guide repeats the same information daily, our guides engage you in dynamic discussions about what you’re seeing, will share stories about the area, and provide an insider’s perspective on current local events.
