Pick-up Times

All guests are picked up and returned to their place of lodging. We pick up at hotels and condos in Jackson and Teton Village.  Your exact pickup time will be determined by your hotel location and the season. Please make note of your pickup time, and save it for your reference.

Please be ready and waiting in the hotel lobby a few minutes before your pickup.  Please allow an additional 5-10 minutes for your guide to arrive just in case they are delayed for any reason.  Changes to trip timing may be made to accommodate daylight and/or optimum night sky viewing.

No, we will provide access to a high-powered telescope and other necessary equipment for the evening.

How long do stargazing tours typically last?

This tour departs before sunset, allowing us time for excellent wildlife watching en route to our stargazing location for the evening.  We will spend a few hours in the field before returning to the town of Jackson or Teton Village.  You should plan on approximately 4 hours door-to-door.

What happens if the weather is cloudy or unfavorable?

Stargazing is weather-dependent. In case of poor visibility due to clouds or inclement weather, tours may be rescheduled or canceled. We will be monitoring weather conditions prior to your tour departure and will notify you if any changes need to be made to your tour.

Can I take photographs during the tour?

Yes, you may, but it is also worth noting that capturing clear images of celestial objects requires specialized equipment. Feel free to bring your smartphone or camera for snapshots, and consult with your guide in the field for tips on astrophotography.
