Join an experienced naturalist guide for a fully customized hiking safari in Yellowstone National Park. Your day will start with a wildlife safari in Grand Teton National Park while traveling north through Jackson Hole to the South entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy lesser visited parts of Yellowstone including hidden lakes, waterfalls and meadow filled forests while learning about the ecology, geology, history and wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. More than 90% or Yellowstone’s visitors never explore more than a mile from the road making Yellowstone’s backcountry a great way to avoid the crowds of the frontcountry and experience true wilderness. The exact trails and distances will be determined by you and your guide the day of your safari based on your areas of interest, fitness level and current conditions within the park. Some of our favorite hikes include an out and back to Heart Lake, a round trip to Shoshone Lake along the the Dog’s Head Channel to Lewis Lake, the Wapiti Lake trail to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone or one of the park’s many geyser basins if you are more interested in thermal features. The options are endless and we will do our best to create the perfect day in Yellowstone’s wilderness for you and your group! All of our hiking guides have advanced wilderness medicine training and will teach you techniques for staying safe in bear country.
