Julie grew up in Minnesota in a wonderful and active outdoor family. She has fond memories of many canoe trips in the northern Minnesota wilderness that later became known as the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. She was teaching High School when her younger sister said, “Jules, when I graduate from college we are going to Jackson Hole to ski for the winter!” Well, they did, and Julie is still making the mountains her home. Julie’s first fifteen years in Jackson were spent as the Program Director of a kindergarten/school age program for a non-profit child care center. She has special memories of field trips and camp out experiences with the kids in Grand Teton National Park! Then, Julie ran a local transportation/charter/tour company for the next 20 years, until it sold a few years ago. She is so pleased and happy to have found a new home being part of the great team at JH Wildlife Safaris! Julie really enjoys visiting with guests to plan and book their wildlife safaris. She also attends to behind the scenes details at the shop to assist the guides in providing outstanding experiences for our guests. She and her husband, Mark, have two grown sons and they are now raising a delightful granddaughter. Kara also works at JHWS during in the summer helping her grandmother. Julie’s family enjoys many outdoor activities, especially bird hunting with their dogs.
