Bio
Duane grew up in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and has spent his life exploring its wild places. Inspired early on by wildlife legends like Marlin Perkins, Jim Fowler, and Marty Stouffer, he developed a deep love for nature that led him into guiding.
His first gig was leading snowcoach and snowmobile trips through Yellowstone and the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Since then, he’s guided everything from summer wildlife tours in the GYE to crane and prairie chicken trips in Nebraska, and winter wolf-watching tours for over two decades.
Duane is a certified naturalist through the Yellowstone Institute and holds multiple certifications, including Wilderness First Responder, Certified Interpretive Guide, Level III Tracker, and Leave No Trace.
