Corey Stites

Naturalist Guide

Corey started his career in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in the heart of Yellowstone National Park, working for a lodging company.  After a short hiatus in 2019 to hike the entirety of the Appalachian Trail, he returned to the area and launched his guiding career.  He is drawn to the history of the region, and is especially intrigued by the early expeditions into the valley and the early days of the fur trapping industry in the area.  In his free time, you’ll find him out fly-fishing, climbing, backpacking, or skiing in the Tetons.

Corey has been guiding since 2020.

My wife and I did a Full Day Grand Teton Wildlife Safari Tour last week. Our guide was Corey and he was awesome!!! Corey was a fountain of knowledge and not just from a wildlife perspective. He was super knowledgeable regarding wildlife and details about their habits, tendencies and characteristics. We saw Moose, Bison, Elk, Pronghorn, Mule Deer and Coyote. When we were moving from area to area in search of wildlife, he filled that time with information about the local area, the Tetons in general and the history of the geology. When we stopped for lunch, Corey's attention to detail was a perfect complement to the fantastic food. We would highly recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris.
