Jedidiah is a long time environmental educator and avid naturalist, working in the outdoors as a teacher, guide, and environmental consultant for over a decade. As an educator, his primary focuses have been on wildlife tracking, natural history, and outdoor leadership, striving to facilitate connections between people, communities, wild places, and wild animals to foster deep and participatory relationships with the natural world. Finding inspiration in the mossy rainforests of the pacific northwest as a youth, his work and passion for wildlife has taken him across the continent to such far flung places as the dunes of Oregon, deserts of California, slopes of the cascades, the northwest territories of Canada, Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole. He takes great joy in sharing his enthusiasm for natural landscapes and engaging people in the lives of wild animals, both through direct observation, and the reconstruction of the subtle signs they leave behind. Jedidiah loves to be immersed in wilderness and the study of biological communities and in his free time can be found birding in local wetlands, on the trail of black bear and moose, or running the spider web of dusty mountain trails near his home.
